College of Auricultural Sciences Campaign Impact report

Programs

$30 million in crucial support for teaching, research, and outreach programs on topics including, but not limited to, organic agriculture, viticulture and enology, animal breeding and genetics, therapeutic horsemanship, and agricultural education. Gifts also support leadership development and hands-on learning for students involved with agricultural literacy, judging teams, and study-abroad programs, among others.


Scholarships

  • Total private support raised for scholarships: $12,882,033
  • Total scholarships awarded: 2,142 totaling $4,086,387

Scholarship gifts may not be awarded in the year received as they may be allocated to endowments, planned gifts, or pledges.


College Chair - $1.5 million

The Wagonhound Land and Livestock Chair in Equine Sciences
Established in 2011, the Wagonhound Land and Livestock Chair in Equine Sciences provides funding to enhance the excellence of Colorado State University's Equine Sciences Program in the College of Agricultural Sciences. This chair focuses on the education, research, and service missions of CSU's world-renowned equine program. Earnings from the endowed fund support cutting-edge research and fundamentally important education and hands-on learning for equine students, so they are ideally prepared to work in the blossoming equine industry. Dr. Jerry Black, director of undergraduate programs in Equine Sciences, holds the chair.
